exterior door units. Color tends to be a red-brown or
purple-brown. Sapele is reported to be comparable to Oak
in strength. Sapele is known to stain well, and its
painting properties are rated good.
Sajol: A less expensive alternative to
Sapele, Sajol tends to be lighter in color than Sapele.
Customers report that Sajol takes stain and paint as well as
sapele.
Soft Maple: Tends to be light in color with a
moderately fine texture. Soft maple is a popular
choice among customers when painting. Offers a different
look when staining than Sajol and Sapele.
Knotty Alder: Tends to be light in color
with yellow and pink hues. It's open, solid knots
give Knotty Alder a unique rustic flavor.
 Oak: Both Red and White Oak are known for
their strength, durability, and open grain characteristics.
Cherry: Has a satin texture with a
reddish-brown apperearence. It has a fine-straight grain
pattern. Cherry is frequently used in high-end furniture.
Poplar: Poplar has a fine to medium grain.
The color tone can range from yellow brown to an olive green.
It can be stained and is often used when a smooth paint finish
is required. Recommended for interior use.
